Mason Razavi Trio Cover

Guitarist Mason Razavi has been a mainstay on the SF Bay Area jazz scene for over a decade. His albums have often featured ambitious original music that has been warmly received, with albums peaking in the top 20 on the jazz radio charts. Razavi has been praised for his ". . . sensitivity, soulfulness, and swing" (All About Jazz), while his compositions offer “an introspective experience of deeper meaning” (Jazz Times). He’s an adjunct professor at West Valley College, and holds degrees from San Jose State University and the Berklee College of Music. Pianist Dahveed Behroozi’s expansive musical palette comes from a wide array of places that almost seem endless. His musical frame of reference ranges from Bach, Brahms, Schoenberg, Alban Berg, 20th century jazz luminaries, as well as the rock and ambient worlds. Jazz piano icon Fred Hersch describes Behroozi's playing as, "intense, immersive, emotionally fulfilling and musically deep." Currently, Dahveed serves on the music faculty at Gavilan College as well as San Jose State University. San Francisco bassist Matt Montgomery has worked with many accomplished musicians and toured throughout the United States and Europe. Matt has performed and/or recorded with Faye Carol, Calvin Keys, Larry Coryell, Mark Levine, Phil Ranelin, singer/songwriters Cass McCombs, Greg Ashley, Adam Stephens (of Two Gallants), Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli, and many more.
